As of 20 July 2011 there will be new labelling requirements for retailers that sell toys via catalogues or the Internet, as a result of the entry into force of the new EU toy directive 2009/48/EC on 18 June 2009. Toys that could pose a risk to children aged 3 years and under must display a warning, as well as brief information about the specific danger that has necessitated this restriction.
This information must be made clearly visible to the consumer at the time of purchase.
