Here's how:

First mark the measurements for the branches: measure off for each branch a length of 20, 18, 17, 14, 11, 8, and 5 cm.

Depending on the thickness, saw off these pieces with the saw or cut them off with the pruning shears.

When you lay the branches one above the other, you will then be able to see what it is supposed to look like once finished.

Mark the middle of each branch and drill a hole there.

Knot a bead in the middle of a string approx. 30 inches long.

Using the needle, thread both ends of the string through the hole of the lowest branch.

Thread alternating a bead and a branch.

Finally, thread another bead at the top and tie a tight knot. Then tie both ends of the string together at the top for hanging the tree.

Finished!

Whoever wants to make something else can gather pinecones during a walk and embellish the dinner table or windowsills with beautiful pinecone Christmas trees.

For the little ones, our ideas about finger paints are perfect. Fantastic Christmas cards or gift tags can be produced in no time flat. Those who prefer to bake something can make vanilla hearts, which are based on a recipe for typical German Christmas cookies.
