You need:

  • A large towel to put everything on
  • White wool fiber
  • A bowl of warm water
  • Curd soap
  • A bowl of clear, cold water

Here's how:

First you dissolve some of the curd soap in the warm water.
Then you dry your hands well, because the wool fiber shouldn’t get wet!
Now take a small piece of wool fiber and form it into a loose ball:

Now dampen this ball with some of the soapy water...

... and carefully roll it back and forth between your hands:

While doing so, keep moistening it with a little bit of soapy water.
The more solid the ball is, the harder you should roll it between your hands.
Once the small ball is really solid, place another layer of wool fiber around it...

... moisten it and keep rolling the ball.
When the ball is really solid, wash it in the clear water and squeeze it well...

... and let it dry.
Now the ball is finished:

The ball should have a diameter of approx. 2 cm for Matze.

But you can of course also felt yourself bigger balls in lots of colors with this method, all you need to do is keep adding more layers of wool fiber around the ball.

If you want the ball to look like a real soccer ball, you can draw little pentagrams on it (with a black laundry marker, for example):

Now the big soccer tournament can begin!
