Everyone can talk about quality. The HABA family of firms can prove its quality with tests and certificates: HABA, JAKO-O and Wehrfritz are certified under DIN EN ISO 9001. This proves that we have successfully introduced a quality assurance system and that we apply it consistently. The system includes all processes within our company and affects product development, purchasing, production and assembly as well as marketing.
Without fail, we always pay attention to careful selection and processing of all Materials. That is why all materials used are subject to continuous controls. Naturally, we also have our products tested for adherence to all guidelines by authorised, independent institutions.
In addition, active environmental protection is a central component of our firm’s policy. In our timber production, we pay close attention to a sustainable use of raw materials. Since 2010 we have borne the PEFC seal, which proves that we use timber from sustainable forestry in German forests. HABA takes its responsibilities towards the environment seriously. We were the first toy and furniture manufacturer in Germany that underwent an environmental audit and since then we have supported continual environmental management under DIN ISO 14001.
We support domestic industry and provide it with a future. We manufacture in Germany and take Made in Germany literally: From the first draft in the Design Department to finishing by our timber technicians at our site in Bad Rodach. With us, everything to do with wooden toys and furniture takes place in Germany.
We also expect our suppliers and their subcontractors to fulfil their tasks with responsibility. We make no compromises in respect of the basic requirements of safety and human rights. We require each of our partners to adhere to the social standards under BSCI, SA 8000 or ICTI. We inspect the adherence to these standards on site at our suppliers’ factories.
